It doesn’t matter if you’re a native or just moved to Denver; it won’t take long for you to see how important an outdoor lifestyle is in the Colorado culture. In the summer, riding a bike is one of the best ways to commute and explore the city. With miles and miles of trails connecting the metro area, it’s only natural. That may be one of the reasons Denver has been named one of the top 5 cycling cities by Redfin. When you live at The Residences at Filmore Plaza, you can easily access one of the most popular trails, The Cherry Creek Trail.
Navigating the Cherry Creek Trail
The 40-mile trail spans from Denver’s Confluence Park through Cherry Creek, Cherry Creek North, and Cherry Creek State Park, eventually taking you to Castlewood Canyon State Park in Franktown. You can enjoy shopping, lakes, and wide open spaces within one ride. Most of the trail protects you from the traffic hustle, as the trail is below Speer Boulevard.
Four Mile Historic Park
On the northern end of the trail, you can visit one of Denver’s oldest structures, a house built in 1859. The 12-acre property features museums, farm animals, and a variety of educational programs.
Cherry Creek State Park
If you want to explore one of the premier state parks in the metro area, ride to Cherry Creek State Park, with plenty of wildlife and 35 miles of trails. It’s a great escape just outside of town.
Castlewood Canyon State Park
Want to get out of town? You can take the trail to Cottonwood Creek State Park. You can enjoy miles of hiking, climbing, and exploring in the Castlewood Dam area.
Store Your Bike For Free
